Tie One On Apron - No $$

The latest Tie One On theme was "No $$," you had to use things that you already had on hand and not buy anything new. To be honest, I felt a bit like I was cheating because I have SO MUCH fabric to choose from, that it wasn't hard at all, lol.

I ended up using a blue and cream stripe that I'd had on hand for quite a while (I think I originally bought it to possibly use for a victorian apron, but never felt like making it) and then I used the leftover blue scraps I had from the Alice Apron for the trim. I ended up with just enough blue for the ruffles, pockets, and ties, but couldn't for the life of me figure out a way to fit in the waistband which I'd originally planned to be blue as well. Luckily, I looked through my stash and found some scraps (in my scrap box) of a cream and blue print (which I think was actually used for a victorian apron) that went beautifully with it! It's a super full apron, very twirly and fun. :-)

I call it Country Blue and Cream:

Good Morning, Sunshine!

The latest Tie One On theme is "Gingham Summer." I had some mini yellow gingham laying around that I needed to use up and I thought it would be perfect! In the plane on my way back from our trip to Miami, I thought about what I wanted to do and decided on a plan! I used a coordinating yellow and white fabric I had on hand that just reminds me of little suns peeking out over each other, and then went a little rick rack crazy. I wanted the double layer look so that it almost looks like the apron has its own petticoat trimmed with lace. The end result was so happy and bright that I decided to call it "Good Morning, Sunshine!" :-)

Tie One On Apron - Havana Nights

I know it looks like I'm just making the deadline, but I really finished this last week and am just now able to post about it, lol.

The theme for the Tie One On apron this time around was "Havana Nights." I actually wasn't sure what I was going to do or if I was going to do it at all, and then I remembered a fabric in my stash that I hadn't gotten around to using yet and was inspired!

Ta-da!

Aren't flounces just so much fun? I think they just make you want to twirl around!

This apron is available for sale at my Etsy shop here!
